A Record of Progress — A Vision for What's Next
As your appointed Clerk of District Court, Cheyenne has already put this work in motion. Here is what she has accomplished — and what she will deliver when voters elect her to continue.
01
Accuracy & Records Integrity
"Every record. Every time."
The court record is the foundation of the justice system. Cheyenne has implemented quality-control processes and staff training programs to ensure Park County's records are accurate, complete, and reliable — and will continue strengthening these standards.
Specific Actions
- Continue regular audits of existing records
- Maintain double-verification protocols for all new filings
- Expand the public error-reporting and correction process
- Partner with the Montana Clerks of Court Association to share best practices statewide
02
Accessibility & Modernization
"Justice shouldn't require a translator."
Cheyenne has been investing in technology, plain-language communications, and expanded service options to make the office genuinely accessible to every resident — regardless of background, ability, or schedule. There is more work to do.
Specific Actions
- Expand the online records portal for public document access
- Launch a Self-Help program to assist the public with completing court forms
- Publish plain-language guides for common court processes
- Ensure full ADA compliance across all office facilities and digital tools
03
Accountability & Transparency
"You deserve to know how your office runs."
Cheyenne has brought a new standard of transparency to the Clerk's office — keeping court records openly accessible through the public portal, holding community office hours, and welcoming oversight as a sign of strength. She will keep that commitment.
Specific Actions
- Maintain open public access to court records through the online portal — available anytime, to anyone
- Maintain monthly community office hours in Livingston and across Park County
- Expand the public dashboard tracking office response times
- Welcome public feedback and remain accessible to any resident with questions about the office
04
Staff Excellence & Retention
"Great service starts with great people."
After significant staff turnover, Cheyenne is rebuilding the office with people who are genuinely committed to public service. That means structured training, competitive wages, and regular staff satisfaction check-ins — because a stable, well-supported team is the foundation everything else is built on.
Specific Actions
- Recruit and retain staff dedicated to the positions they hold
- Establish structured training programs for all office roles
- Advocate for competitive wages that reflect the demands of the work
- Conduct regular staff satisfaction check-ins to build a healthy workplace culture
